Look How Far You’ve Come

There were moments when you wondered if you would make it.

Maybe the pain was deeper than you ever expected. Maybe someone you trusted disappointed you. Perhaps you walked through rejection, loss, betrayal, disappointment, or a season when God seemed strangely quiet.

And yet… you’re still here.

You survived what you thought would break you.

That doesn’t mean it didn’t hurt. It doesn’t mean you weren’t afraid. And it certainly doesn’t mean you walked through it perfectly. It simply means that somewhere in the middle of your ashes, God was sustaining you.

Your Story Didn’t End in the Fire

Sometimes we look at what happened to us and see only the destruction. We see what was lost, what went wrong, and what can never be changed.

But God sees something different.

He sees the person you are becoming.

The fire may have changed you, but it doesn’t have to destroy you. The tears may have marked your journey, but they don’t have to define your future. What you experienced can become part of your testimony rather than the end of your story.

Isaïe 61:3 reminds us that God gives “beauty for ashes.”

That is the heart of redemption. God doesn’t pretend the ashes never existed. He takes what was broken and begins creating something beautiful from it.

Keep Going

As August comes to an end, take a moment to look back—not to live there, but to recognize how far God has brought you.

You may not have everything figured out.

You may still have questions.

You may still be healing.

But you’re here.

And that matters.

Don’t underestimate what it took to get this far. Don’t despise the small victories. Don’t forget the prayers God answered along the way.

You survived what you thought would break you—and God is not finished with you yet.

Your ashes are not the end.

God is still writing beauty into your story.
